The Nissan Kicks e-Power measures 4,290 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 1,605 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. Compared to the Perodua Ativa, it is slightly wider but shorter, offering a compact yet practical design.
The exterior design of the Kicks e-Power takes cues from its larger sibling, the Nissan X-Trail, while presenting a more compact and stylish package. Its sleek headlights and signature V-Motion grille give it a modern and dynamic appearance. At the rear, distinctive taillights enhance its family resemblance and add to its overall aesthetic appeal.
In Malaysia, the Kicks e-Power comes equipped with several standard exterior features. These include automatic LED projector headlights, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto-folding side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and LED front fog lamps.
Inside the Nissan Kicks e-Power, the cabin design closely resembles that of the Nissan Almera, with a modern touch provided by the e-Power electronic gear shifter. Taking center stage is an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The boot space is a practical 423 litres.
The Kicks e-Power in Malaysia comes with several standard interior features, including a semi-analogue gauge cluster with a seven-inch TFT display, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, 60:40 split-fold rear seats, and zero-gravity seats for the driver and front passenger.
The VLT variant adds premium features such as a digital rearview mirror—a first at this price point—and a two-tone black and mocha brown leatherette upholstery. On the other hand, the VL variant comes with black leatherette on the dashboard and black fabric seats highlighted by blue stitching.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power is powered by an innovative e-Power system that combines a 129 hp and 280 Nm electric motor on the front axle with an 82 hp and 103 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine, which acts as a generator. The setup is complemented by a 2.06 kWh battery, creating a unique hybrid powertrain configuration.
This system allows the Kicks e-Power to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h. Its standout feature is its impressive fuel efficiency, achieving 21.7 km per litre (4.61 L/100 km). With a 41-litre fuel tank, it offers an estimated driving range of up to 900 km, making it both dynamic and economical.
When it comes to safety, the Nissan Kicks e-Power comes standard with seven airbags for added protection. The VLT variant goes a step further with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, which includes advanced driver-assistance features such as rear cross traffic alert (RCTA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind-spot monitors (BSM), and a 360-degree around view monitor with moving object detection. These features enhance safety and make driving more convenient.
For a limited time, ETCM is offering an early bird promotion with a 10-year/160,000 km EV components warranty and an introductory rebate of RM5,000 for the first 500 customers.
