Toyota Corolla Cross Facelift Now Open for Booking in Malaysia – Estimated Price from RM140k.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is now accepting orders for the new Toyota Corolla Cross facelift, with an estimated starting price of RM140,000. According to the company’s official website, there are three variants being teased: the 1.8V spec, the 1.8 HEV, and the 1.8 HEV GR Sport. The GR Sport hybrid is a fresh addition for our market, as the previous GR Sport was not a hybrid model.
In Thailand, the updated Corolla Cross is already available and comes with a redesigned front end, including new full-LED headlights and a slimmer upper grille. The main grille below features a honeycomb design and blends seamlessly into the bold faux air intakes on the sides.
While there are no interior photos yet, it has been confirmed that the outdated foot-operated parking brake will be replaced by an electronic parking brake, which also offers an auto brake hold function. Additionally, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen (up from the previous nine-inch version) is expected, with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has also highlighted other features of the new Corolla Cross, such as a 3D panoramic view monitor (PVM) and an upgraded vehicle telematics system (VTS) with remote engine start (RES) capability. The Corolla Cross Hybrid Electric will come in five color options: Celestite Grey Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and a new Dark Turquoise.
The GR Sport version offers three two-tone color choices: Platinum White Pearl, Red Mica Metallic, and Dark Turquoise, all paired with a black roof. This sporty model keeps the new features from the non-GR Sport version but adds stiffer suspension and performance bracing for improved cornering. Inside, it features a GR Sport-themed interior with black leather seats, embossed logos, and red stitching for a sportier feel.
