Perodua Aruz Black Edition Set to Make a Bold Debut!

If you're a fan of the color black, you might prefer it for your vehicle as well. Perodua has recently teased a model that will showcase this striking shade. Although the teaser image is dimly lit, it’s fairly clear that the vehicle in question is the Aruz.

In 2021, when Perodua updated the seven-seater SUV, the refresh included some equipment upgrades and introduced a new Passion Red paint color, replacing the previously available Amazon Green, which had been discontinued the year prior.

It’s yet to be confirmed whether this new black color option will replace Passion Red or another hue from the current lineup. Additionally, it’s uncertain if this color will be exclusive to the top AV variant or available across more versions.

Currently, the key mechanical specifications of the Perodua Aruz remain unchanged since its launch. It continues to be powered by a 2NR-VE 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, delivering 101 hp and 131 Nm of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

In terms of equipment, the Aruz comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillights, keyless entry and engine start, a built-in toll reader, manual air-conditioning with digital controls and rear vents, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-speaker audio setup, six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, hill start assist, a reverse camera, and solar and security window tinting.

The higher-spec AV variant adds features like automatic LED headlamps, roof rails, SmartLink smartphone mirroring, leather upholstery (with the X variant having fabric), a dashcam, and the Advanced Safety Assist 2.0 (ASA 2.0) suite. This includes Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Front Departure Alert, and Pedal Misoperation Control.
