The All-New Mitsubishi Triton Now Open for Booking in Malaysia: Price from RM 102k.

The highly awaited sixth-generation 2024 Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck is finally set to debut in Malaysia, as Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has officially announced its launch and the commencement of bookings.

The all-new 2024 Triton will be available in five variants, including a single-cab option for the first time. It boasts a refreshed design, improved performance, and upgraded safety features. Prices for the 2024 Triton are expected to start at RM 102,000 for the single-cab variant, with the top-tier Triton Athlete model reaching up to RM 170,000.

Shinya Ikeda, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), emphasized the Triton’s legacy, saying, "Mitsubishi Motors has manufactured around 5.6 million pick-up trucks over five generations since its debut in 1978. With sales across 150 countries, the Triton has become a key global model for the brand. Now entering its sixth generation, the all-new Triton has been completely redesigned, from its exterior and interior to its chassis, ladder frame, and engine."

The latest Triton showcases the bold "Beast Mode" design, combining a tough, rugged exterior with a sporty, functional interior. It also comes equipped with more powerful engines, enhanced safety systems, and a newly engineered mega-frame chassis that offers greater durability and improved crash protection.

Under the hood, the upgraded 2.4-liter two-stage four-cylinder turbodiesel engine in the Triton Athlete variant produces 204 PS and 470 Nm of torque.

The Triton single-cab and other double-cab variants utilize the same 2.4-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine from the previous generation, delivering 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque. These engines are paired with either a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission, depending on the variant.

Mitsubishi has also improved the Triton's suspension system to enhance ride comfort and steering stability. Additionally, the advanced Super Select 4WD-II system offers seven driving modes. The 2024 Triton is equipped with Active Yaw Control, borrowed from the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution models, for better handling.

The 2024 Triton is equipped with a comprehensive range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), depending on the variant, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). Inside, the SUV-inspired cabin provides enhanced comfort and features, such as a wireless charging dock and an infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As part of the "Drive Your Ambition Brand Festival," Mitsubishi is offering an exclusive 60-liter folding storage box valued at RM 450 to the first 500 customers who book the new Triton online. The festival was launched last month alongside the unveiling of the 2024 Mitsubishi XPander MPV. Mitsubishi invites customers to visit authorized showrooms for special bonuses and events.
