Explore the Proton eMas 7 interior at ACE 2024 on October 26-27.

The interior of the Proton eMas 7 will be unveiled at the paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, taking place on October 26-27 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC). The model on display will be a pre-production unit with its exterior still camouflaged, visitors will be able to touch and explore the interior of the eMas 7.

The Proton eMas 7 is the right-hand-drive version of the Geely Galaxy E5, but it’s more than just a rebranding. Proton has conducted extensive local testing and has added 49 unique tests—some exclusive to Proton—to make sure the eMas 7 meets both local and international standards. These tests cover various aspects, including load performance and stability control, ensuring a high level of safety and reliability.

The eMas 7 boasts a maximum water wading depth of 400 mm, providing better flood protection compared to its Geely counterpart. This capability was tested in July at Proton's proving ground, where they also evaluated how well the car handles speed bumps to reflect Malaysian road conditions. An issue was identified during these tests but has since been resolved.

Furthermore, the suspension has been fine-tuned specifically for the Malaysian market. This new setup is stiffer than the version used in China, which helps improve ride comfort and control of the vehicle.

The Proton eMas 7 is set to launch later this year and is expected to feature the same powertrain as the Galaxy E5. The Geely model is equipped with a single front motor that produces 218 PS (160 kW) and 320 Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. There are two battery options: a 49.52 kWh battery that offers a range of 440 km and a 60.22 kWh battery that can go up to 530 km on a single charge.

Don’t miss the opportunity to have a closer look at the Proton eMas 7 and be among the first outside Proton’s R&D team to experience this electric SUV from the inside!
