Honda Malaysia achieves milestones with delivery of 150k HR-V and 170k Civic.
Honda Malaysia achieved a major milestone by delivering its 150,000th HR-V and 170,000th Civic to new owners, marking 24 years since the company's inception.
At the special handover ceremony, Honda showcased a Meteoroid Grey Metallic HR-V e:HEV RS and a Platinum White Pearl Civic e:HEV RS. To mark the occasion, both new owners received a special gift and Honda Genuine Accessories worth RM10,000.
Honda Malaysia has seen impressive sales in the first half of 2024, selling over 39,200 units, which is a 16% increase from last year. The e:HEV hybrid models, including the milestone HR-V and Civic, made up 13% of these sales, showing significant growth.
Since its introduction in 2015, the HR-V has become Honda Malaysia's most popular model, making up 28% of total sales this year. Honda City follows at 24%, with Honda CR-V close behind at 15%.
During the handover ceremony, Honda Malaysia's Managing Director and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura, expressed gratitude to customers for their steadfast support and trust in the Honda brand. He emphasized the increasing popularity and demand for Honda models due to customer support.
Yoshimura celebrated the delivery of the 170,000th Civic and 150,000th HR-V, extending sincere thanks to the customers who contributed to these milestones. He congratulated both customers for their role in Honda's journey and achievements.
