The fee for reprinting vehicle ownership certificates has been decreased from RM50 to RM20.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke has declared that the fee for printing the Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Labuan will be reduced to RM20 starting from July 1, 2024.

Before the price change, it cost RM50 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM25 in Sabah and Labuan. In Sarawak, there is an extra RM5 fee, making it RM25 in total to print the VOC. Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that this adjustment aims to equalize the fees across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak, according to Bernama's report.

The Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) was introduced by the road transport department (JPJ) in 2016 to replace the Registration Card (RC). While the VOC includes all necessary vehicle and ownership details like the RC, it differs in that it does not need to be physically presented for transactions such as renewing road tax, transferring vehicle ownership, or updating details.
