Proton will launch EV cars soon!!

At the Chinese New Year banquet, Proton's CEO revealed that the brand will soon launch EV vehicles, and not just one model. He stated that Proton's first EV  vehicle will be launched soon, with the second Proton EVs set to debut around 6 to 8 months later.









Although the exact release dates and details of these two EV models have not been disclosed, the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) previously expressed hope that Proton and Perodua could introduce locally manufactured pure electric vehicles by 2025.







Therefore, it is estimated that Proton EVs are likely to debut either towards the end of this year or early next year. It is reported that Proton plans to badge-engineer Geely Group's Geometry pure electric vehicles as well as another budget-friendly model, the Geely Panda Mini.
